The mission of Chicago Huddle is to bring the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital community together through fitness and education. Founded in 2020, the club is slowly gaining traction and attention across Chicago.
WHY?
A group of community advocates of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital of Chicago want to promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle to fundraise for the children of St. Jude. They needed a logo to help brand themselves and make a statement for their goal. Through this program they participate in working out to raise donations for their cause.
IDEA
The color choice to match with St. Jude's logo was an obvious direction I chose to take given this group would be an official part of the St. Jude community. The design went through various phases through each process. Conducting research across fitness, community, and charity, my desire was to implement those ideas through shape forming figures (figures representing letters C and H, two figures high five to form a star). I figured those ideas were doing too much so I simplified the design to implement support and lifting up. Digital concepts were also established during the drawing phase. After completion of the logo, I was hired for photography to document their mission.
